Meet the Governors

Mr Richard Thorpe

I have been Head at Grange Park since it opened in September 2010. Prior to that I was Headteacher at Three Oak Primary School. I am proud to be part of the team at Grange Park and am very lucky to work with such committed and hardworking Staff and Governors, who are all, as am I, totally focused on making this the best possible school for our children and the community.

Mr Ian Lambie

I have worked at Grange Park since 2015 and I currently teach in Year 6 after teaching for three years in Year 4. I feel very lucky to work in such a great school with a great team of people, all of whom make Grange Park a positive environment for both staff and pupils.

As well as teaching in Year 6, I am responsible for the school’s online safety curriculum and more recently, have become Behaviour Lead.

Miss Nikki Boronski

I am Nikki and I currently work for Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council as a Youth Work Leader. 

I have a background in Early years education, being a manager of a local preschool for 17 years and working closely with Grange Park to ensure smooth transition for the children when they start their journey in Reception. 

I have extensive knowledge of the Early Years curriculum along with safeguarding and SEND. 

I look forward to working closely with Grange Park to ensure that all children are receiving an excellent and stimulating education to enable them to develop as young people. 

Mrs Leah Flynn

As a child I grew up in Stirchley and benefitted from the wonderful community and local schools. I feel privileged to be able to give something back to the community that looked after me. 

I am a Senior Social Worker and have worked with children, young people and families for over 10 years. I have been fortunate to work in different parts of the country and in America. I have volunteered in my spare time with youth services, young carers and supporting the homeless community. This has given me a vast amount of skills and experience that I hope to use in my role as Community Governor. 

As a mother of two, I am committed to ensuring that the children in our community receive good quality education and a safe environment to reach their full potential. I hope to support the governing board and staff at Grange Park to continue their great work.

Mrs Nicky Brown

Hello, my name is Nicky Brown, and I am delighted to be a Governor at Grange Park Primary school. I have been a teacher since 1978 and retired as Deputy Head at Grange Park Primary school in 2018. I was also SENCO, Pastoral Lead and Foundation stage co-ordinator during my time at Grange Park.

After leaving my substantive role I have continued to work at Grange Park as the Lead for the School direct PGCE teacher training programme ‘The Telford Partnership’ with Wolverhampton University. I worked with 7 primary schools in the Telford and provided high quality placements and support for PGCE trainees, and we have several former Telford Partnership trainees now working in Telford schools and 3 working at Grange Park. I also set up a Family stay and Play group here at Grange Park which continues to be very successful and provides a quality play session for both parents/carers and young children.

I am passionate about children being given the best start in life possible and this means access to high quality education and excellent support for their wellbeing. All children deserve to have their needs met whatever they are and as a Governor I see my role as supporting the excellent team at Grange Park to deliver this and to continue to keep the school moving forward and improving.

I have lived in Telford for over 40 years and I am married with 2 sons. In my spare time I am a member of Rock choir and often perform with them at Charity events. I am also a member of a gym and enjoy exercise, walking and I am a member of the National Trust, I am also now learning Spanish.

I am honoured to still be a part of Grange Park Primary school in my new role as a Governor.

Mr Marc Clark

I currently work at the Telford Park School as a Behaviour Manager and Deputy Safeguarding Lead. I have a son in Year 1 at Grange Park and as a parent I am very proud of his achievements and development in the short time he has been a student. This is thanks to the inspirational staff and teaching at Grange Park.

I strive to support the wellbeing of pupils within Grange Park and our community. As a parent governor I wish to promote a healthy working environment for the learning and teaching of our young people, whilst actively encouraging good moral values.

I am very passionate about the welfare of the young people in our community. I look forward to working alongside the governing body at Grange Park, where I know all the skill sets, experience, and passion to support and make a difference to the lives of the young people within the community will be invaluable.

Mr Ross Mushet

It is a privilege to have joined the Grange Park family as a Parent governor. I became a governor as the ethos and values of the school align with my own and I wanted to “do my bit” in supporting staff and fellow governors to help enable and provide the best possible experiences for the children and community.

I live locally to the school and have seen my daughter flourish and grow in confidence since attending Grange Park and I know my son will be in good hands when he attends too.

I currently work to drive digital innovation at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and I hope my skills in strategy and planning can help the school achieve its objectives and goals.
